On Wednesday 18 April, over 100 invited guests gathered for WA’s major digital marketing networking showcase – HomeBrew. The event explored Web 2.0 and the potential of this technology for Perth’s marketing and technology professionals. “The issues raised by our keynote speakers really opened up discussions about how Perth can benefit from taking Web 2.0 on board,” said Market United’s Managing Director, Marc Loveridge, who was MC for the night. Sponsored by ninemsn, Wordplay Media, PerthNow, TheWest.com.au, and Madfish Wines, the evening’s proceedings began with an entertaining presentation from Market United’s Richard Chipper. Brett Poole of Yahoo!7 and Jason Scott of ninemsn spoke about the practicalities of Web 2.0, while Matthew Macfarlane of Minti.com presented on the benefits of Web 2.0 for niche groups.
