Online Marketing : Microsite DesignAlthough the use of microsites as destinations for campaigns was originally a tactic which conveniently avoided the need to change a flagship website, they've gradually come of age as a single action focal point for core campaign messages which don't distract users with navigation. Design ApproachVisually, we believe microsite design should feature clear branding and a link to the "big idea" in the campaign's offline material. It should be clear from the outset who the promoter is and what is expected of the reader - eg apply now, sign up, make an appointment etc. In many cases the microsite is simply a springboard to enable a visitor to leap to an existing sign-up form within your flagship website. If that's the case, be sure that the interstitial ties the microsite to the campaign and if appropriate replicates the main site's web design elements and themes. We have designed interstitial microsites for clients including Virgin Money, iiNet, BankWest, Tourism WA, Transperth, Burswood and HBF. Examples for RHS:
